You Are A Big Disgrace To Your Family - Eradiri Chides Asari Dokubo

Asari Dokubo, who claimed that the military was complicit in oil theft in the Niger Delta, was refuted by Udengs Eradiri, the former head of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, in an interview with Arise . Eradiri highlighted that attempting to stop the military’s oil theft operations in the Niger Delta region would put them at risk of being shot.
Eradiri also emphasized that the government has already heard similar reports from prior governors, thus these accusations are not new to the administration. He disclosed that some people frequently spend a lot of money hoping to be stationed in the Niger Delta region, and they get upset when they are sent to the northern areas instead.
He said, “You are a big disgrace to your family and to the new Nigerian system.” explicitly quoting Udengs Eradiri. “Normally, it should be the Nigerian military, but you are aware of the situation in the nation. Everyone is now on their own, responsible for providing their safety, comfort, and way of life. Right now, survival is a struggle for everyone. The Nigerian military is hopeless, and what Alhaji Asari said yesterday is not news. The Ijaw Youth Council has always responded to whatever the current government has brought up in the past. Allegations of persons paying significant sums of money to be posted to the Niger Delta throughout the years, then complaining when they are sent to the north, are common.
