Nigeria Airforce Bombs Biafra Communities With Super Tucano Jets Contrary To USA, Nigeria Agreement – IPOB

February 9, 2023, | EASTERN PILOT

IPOB PRESS RELEASE

We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of our liberator Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU wish to bring to the attention of the international community and particularly the American government, the indiscriminate bombings being carried out by the Nigeria Army in Biafran communities using the *Super Tucano* military jets acquired from the United States of America. Innocent civilian communities in Ebonyi State, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Igweocha, and other places in Biafraland have been bombed repeatedly causing a lot of civilian casualties and destruction of our people's property and means of livelihood.

It is on record that the USA Department of State restricted the use of the Super Tucano bombers to Northern Nigeria to fight Boko Haram, who are destroying people's lives in that part of the country.  The Nigerian government is knowingly and deliberately violating the terms of the Military jets sale agreement by using them to bomb villages and rural communities in the Southeast. The American government asked Nigeria to restrict the use of the Super Tucano to the Northern part of Nigeria where terrorist groups are very active. In flagrant disregard to the terms of the sale agreement, Nigeria, which is known for breaking agreements and acting outside the bounds of legal norms has now exposed its true intention of purchasing the Military jets by turning the use of the bombers on Biafran communities and villages in the Eastern Region. This one-sided war being waged by the Nigerian government against the Biafran people with the help of Military hardware delivered to them by the American government goes to show the conspiracy of the entire Western government against the people of Biafra. What is our crime one may ask? The crime of the Biafran people is that we dared to demand our freedom as a people, we dared to demand a Referendum as well as demanding the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi KANU following the order and ruling of the Appeal Court of Nigeria.

The hidden agenda for purchasing the Super Tucano bomber jets from the US government was to bomb Biafran territory and annihilate the people of Biafra from their ancestral land and not to fight terrorists in the North. These same Super Tucano bomber jets have not been used anywhere in the North against insurgents because the Fulani-led government has no interest in fighting their terrorist brothers. To them, "any attack on Boko Haram and ISWAP is an attack on the North."

We demand that the American government recall the Super Tucano bomber jets sold to Nigeria for violating the terms of the sales agreement. If US Government doesn't question the use of the Super Tucano bombers on Biafra soil, we shall be left with no option but to believe that the US government is fully aware and in support of the use of their military equipment to bomb and kill the Biafran civilian population.

The continued use of these fighter jets on the civilian population of Biafrans and in Biafrans territory will only confirm our suspicion of the role played by the American government in the first Biafrans Genocide of 1967-1970 and the ongoing second Genocide against the Biafran people. The world should watch and take note of the crime against humanity being committed by the Nigerian government using Military fighter jets sold to them by the United States of America.

In another development, IPOB condemns the recent attack on a Police Station and an INEC office by unknown gunmen in the Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State. This level of violence and attacks are foreign to Igbo land and are against Igbo culture. We maintain that most of these attacks were politically motivated and sponsored to justify the use of Super Tucano bomber jets in Biafra territory.

We are warning those being used in perpetrating this heinous crime against humanity to stop aiding Biafra's enemies. The attackers and their sponsors are not representing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB, or ESN in the Biafra movement. IPOB is a non-violent freedom movement. We have maintained neutrality in the upcoming Nigeria selection that they call 2023 presidential election.

The attackers are either aggrieved persons on a revenge mission against the state, or they are double agents of the Nigerian government used to blackmail IPOB and find justification for the wanton bombing and destruction of Biafran people's lives and properties. That is why, as soon as these attacks happen, without any investigations, the Nigerian Army and Police run to the media and link the attackers to IPOB. The publication of daily mail, online news in the UK, quoted a police spokesperson in Anambra. This indicates that this media house has joined the other British journalists who blackmail IPOB. They must investigate their news before publishing Nigerian government propaganda against IPOB and Biafran people with the sole aim to demonize IPOB before the International Community. But we are not going to be distracted or intimidated by their media propaganda and blackmail.

Every man and woman of goodwill knows that IPOB is a victim of a grand plan to stop the Self Determination struggle of the Indigenous People of Biafra while the Nigeria government working in concert with the British government together with other Western nations are the aggressors. The same government is the one killing, abducting, and at the same time blaming IPOB. One thing is certain that in the end, Mazi Nnamdi KANU will be freed, and Biafra shall be restored by the grace of Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL, MEDIA, AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.
