On this day 25/11/2022, I CHINASA NWORU call on the #USA government to stop applying a double standard when it comes to issues of #Biafra exit from Nigeria and the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu whom the Nigerian court of appeal has discharged and acquitted. USA Should know that these particular issues mentioned above require only one standard.
After 50yrs of the Biafra genocide and 10 yrs.’ of IPOB preaching to the world the need for Biafra freedom, I now realize that the USA would have no standards if they didn’t have double standards. They have pretended like they don’t know what is happening in Biafra land, they have behaved as if they don’t know Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was extraordinarily rendition from Kenya for almost 1yr 6months, detained and tortured by the Nigerian government. Besides, #MNK was also discharged and acquitted by the Nigerian court of appeal yet he is still in the DSS dungeon and the acclaimed world police behave like they don’t know what is happening in Nigeria, and the tension building up in Nigeria as the 2023 elections draw near.
Double standards won’t help the US in the issues of the Biafra referendum and the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It would be of great advantage if the USA will quickly stand up to do the needful to avoid blaming Biafra in the nearest future, the western world has played with our lives for decades and we are not going to give those chances again.
The US government has shown to Biafran that they only cry when a bird cries, but not when a fish bleeds and to us, that’s a double standard. The US government is fortunate to have a voice that can call the Nigerian government's attention to obey their court orders to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, instead, they are trying to flee from their responsibilities which will double the danger if they do so.
However, is better for this present US government to deal with the issue of the Biafra exit and the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu now, as quickly and without flinching, as it will help to cut the threat and danger looming in Nigeria, around the Gulf of Guinea and the west Africa region. I am advising the US government that they should never play double standards on these critical issues of Biafra exit and the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because the catastrophe heading their path will be better left for the imagination.
