Kanu Tells US Govt To Reject Nigeria's Partnership In Fighting Terrorism

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the United States government to reject any form of request by the Nigerian State, for military aid or relocating its Africa Command (AFRICOM), for help, in fights against insecurity ravaging the country.

In a Radio Biafra broadcast Tuesday night, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stated that any form of assistance from the US government would endanger the lives of the indigenous populations in Nigeria, because the country and its leaders were the creators and sponsors of the most dangerous terrorist groups in Nigeria and Africa.

He further condemned the current minister of Nigeria who had expressed support for Al-Qaeda, Boko-Haram and other terrorist organizations in Nigeria and around the world and his resilience to support jihad in the country.

Kanu alleged series of  sponsored activities of the Nigerian army in abetting coordinated attacks on innocent citizens; supplying arms to several Fulani terrorist groups to kill Nigerians.

He cited what Benue State governor Samuel Ortom said about the federal government of Nigeria sponsoring terrorism against the people. Ortom was reported to have said that “the federal government is helping Fulani terrorists to kill people and take over land of the indigenous people”. This was regarding the recent herdsmen killings in Benue State where over 70 persons were mowed down; including the killings in the State's Internally Displaced Persons' (IDP) camp.

Laying emphasis on the political structure of the Nigerian government, and its administration policy, Nnamdi Kanu said the latter was "to effectuate the Fulanisation agenda of conquest as it was done to the Hausa people, and part of Yoruba land".

The Biafran leader asked the US government to ignore the call, contrary to what he said was former US president Barack Obama’s commitment to sponsor the movement of the Fulani Jihad in Nigeria.

Kanu charged Indigenous peoples in Nigeria to rise up, and defend themselves, else lives would be taken away by the terror groups.
