Report By:  Bridget Edokwe

Boko Haram has hoisted its flag in some parts of the Geidam community, in Yobe state. This comes two days after the terrorists reportedly attacked Geidam local government area of the state. Geidam is the hometown of the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba. Some of the residents confirmed to Channels Television that, the insurgents have hoisted their flags in some parts of their community, moving from house to house preaching to them to accept their ideology.

According to an eyewitness report  '' I got a call this evening from a follower of this Page in Yobe State he disclosed to me that what happened In Geidam the media are not saying the complete story. All what the media is saying is Geidam is the home town of the IGP. According to him Boko Haram attacked the Indigenous Christians of Geidam Yobe State. They wrote a letter to the Christians threatening them to convert to Islam if not they will kill them. They stated in their letter they are not coming to attack the Muslims but Christians of Geidam .

According to Boko Haram they want the Christians to convert so that only one Religion will be in the  town. He also disclosed to me that a Pastor was beheaded in a Church by Boko Haram in Geidam but no report of it. They tired his hands behind him and chop off his head . I will speak to some of the refugees tomorrow via Phone and they promised to scan and send the Boko Haram letter to me also tomorrow. I will keep you posted but please Pray for Christians in Yobe , Borno and Adamawa States..''

Although the Army battalion in Geidam is still present in the community, it has not stopped the insurgents from propagating their missions. Already, some telecommunication networks have been tempered, thereby hampering communication. Many families have been thrown into panic as they are unable to communicate with their relatives in the community.
